Solar energy producers in Greece are expected to face a new cost this year, a panel recycling fee, which is expected to cost 7 euros per panel, which would increase total investment costs.
Imposing such a fee would cost investors an additional 7,500 euros for a 500 kW photovoltaic park.
Although this fee was announced by officials last summer, the law has provided for it since 2014. Manufacturers of photovoltaic panels and importers of panels are the ones who will collect this fee on behalf of the state.
In North Macedonia there are still no announcements for the introduction of such a fee, but with the harmonization of regulations on the European market it is expected that there will be such a cost for future investors in photovoltaic power plants.
